"I'm in big trouble, aren't I," is Dad's response when Mom tells him he is terminal.
This is a brutally honest memoir of what it's like to care for a loved one as they teeter on the edge of life and death. It's a story of raw love, unspoken truths, and the complicated dynamics of family-laid bare in life's most fragile moments.
But this is more than a story of loss. As my father fought for peace, he envisioned a celebration in the afterlife and begged us to help him prepare. Yet, beneath the joy, his guilt-ridden soul was at war-locked in a battle between Heaven and Hell, light and darkness. As he faced mortality, our family faced each other-and for the first time, I faced God.
We all ask the question: What happens when we die? This book reveals the answer. Through his final days, you'll experience the undeniable reality of death and what comes after. This journey isn't sugarcoated-it's unfiltered and not for the faint of heart. There is no escaping the messy, beautiful, and sometimes terrifying truth of dying.
If you've ever cared for a dying loved one, wrestled with faith, or questioned what truly awaits beyond this life-this book is for you.
