We don't always get to choose the life we will lead, and for a young woman growing up as a preacher's kid, being a preacher's wife wasn't part of her plan-yet God's plans are not always the same as our own.
In Rosalee, the PW, author Marcy Lytle shares the biography of her mother, Rosalee-a story of a young woman's life in the 1940s as she meets and marries a US Air Force man in khakis. It isn't long, however, before Rosalee's husband hears "the call" for a career she loathes; it's the same career her father had, and she cannot rid herself of images of the persecution her father experienced, all because of his job as a pastor. Rosalee is talented, creative, and determined, but she often escapes behind her sewing machine until her children start growing up and moving on. Yet a simple telephone call will begin Rosalee's own new career, as she begins to make strokes that pull her to the top, above the waters of despair.
Join Rosalee as she discovers some amazing truths about marriage, life, and aging that enable her to open her hands wide to those around her. Rosalee will one day receive the surprise of her life, and it is this final discovery that amazes her youngest daughter and compels her to tell this story...
