THE IDEA FOR THIS BOOK For many years I was on the hunt to find the perfect sales plan template. Over the years I probably searched for and downloaded hundreds of templates. And I asked anyone who would talk with me about how they wrote their sales planning docs. Every year I'd wonder... Is there was a better way? Eventually, I realized there is not a perfect plan. In fact, perfect can be the enemy of good. And too much time writing a sales plan becomes a wasted time. In an effort to simplify I knew I wanted my plan to be on one sheet of paper, but I needed more inputs than one sheet could handle. So that drove me to develop a plan with five steps or five one sheets. Each sheet builds on the previous. The last sheet requires inputs from all other one sheets, but then you have a singular document that includes your key quantitative and qualitative items in one place.
