An important crown witness in a case against a paedophile ring is found brutally murdered, the officers guarding him shot dead. The ring operated undetected in British Columbia for years, part of a much larger operation about which the police know nothing. The killer won't rest till he destroys the one remaining man he's convinced has the smarts to blow the hidden operation wide open.

Alex Desocarras has been an RCMP officer for 15 years. A brilliant detective, his solve rate is legendary. Pulling the only lead in the case from a cryptic tweet, he identified the involvement of a high-ranking RCMP Inspector in the paedophile ring and was relentless in his pursuit of the officer and his loathsome cohorts. An Indigenous hacktivist seeking information about the case finds a coded message hidden on an RCMP server. He risks exposure to warn the man he has come to grudgingly respect, Alex Desocarras, of its chilling contents. Desocarras is pushed headlong into a nightmare chain of events that will test the limits of his endurance against a ruthless adversary, and ultimately, force him to choose where his allegiance lies.
