ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Ettice N. Brickus, MSM, MSED, retired from the Baltimore Police Department as a Deputy Chief following a distinguished career in law enforcement. She later served as Chief of Staff for the Montgomery Police Department, where she oversaw day-to-day operations, policy development, budget administration, and strategic management.
A doctoral candidate at Gwynedd Mercy University, Brickus also holds degrees from Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore City Community College, and the University of Maryland University College. She has completed executive leadership training through Cornell University and the Senior Management Institute for Policing.
An active member of several national professional organizations-including the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE), the FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development Association (FBI LEEDA), and the Police Executive Research Forum (PERF)-Brickus is passionate about developing leaders who inspire growth, integrity, resilience, and lasting impact.
