Caleb and Amanda find themselves negotiating the details of new legislation with representatives from the Canadian and Chinese governments that would have global implications. Driven by an economy rife with fiscal hoarding, rivals in the United States seek to undo their efforts and appropriate assets in a push for free labour and global acquisitions. A fracture in past relationships reveals hidden motivations, and grassroots organizers in the corporate controlled United States offer a new path to shared prosperity across the three countries. The story takes place decades after Canada has implemented a radical new approach to finance and business enterprise, instigated by the largest wealth transfer to a community non-profit ever seen. But will Amanda and Caleb's misgivings and insecurities from the past undermine the fledgling pluralist economy they've worked so hard to build? Mark Friesen has been working and consulting in the non-profit sector for over twenty years in British Columbia, Canada, and is requested to speak, consult, and advise non-profits across Canada. Currently he is the Executive Director at a social service organization providing support and housing services to seniors, youth, families and individuals who've experienced violence in Metro Vancouver. Mark has led and experienced social impact organizations change the fabric of community economies, and believes an alternative structure to support meaningful shared prosperity at a community level lays right before our eyes.
