In her third LSU Press poetry collection, Van Doren takes a straightforward approach towards the subjects of domesticity, housewives, the playfulness of language, and even the poet's own alter-ego, "Wendy." Throughout, relationships are front and center and Van Doren's lively and spirited voice make observations about the minutiae of life a refreshing experience.
