Mary MacIntosh is drawn into investigating the convergence of unsolved crimes involving a 1910 baseball game that turned deadly at the Wyoming State Penitentiary, a plane crash in the Big Horn mountains where one of the survivors escaped on foot in the snow, a ruthless killer who recently escaped from the state prison and was lurking in her town of Sheridan, Wyoming, together linked by a shadowy conspiracy involving a secret society that spans generations. The society's origins date back to the early 20th century, and its members have been manipulating events through history. The crash survivor holds vital information that Mac needs to stop a new generation of conspirators. This convergence of circumstances intertwines the mystery, suspense, and historical aspects of old crimes meeting new ones.
