Michelle Smith, and her son Adam, disagree on whether the new 2030 laws, which prohibit men from carrying guns, and presume accused men are guilty of sexual assault, are going too far. Michelle wants to believe that Adam would never sexually assault a woman, but when he is shot by Tiffany Stone and accused of sexual assault, Michelle believes Adam should have to prove his innocence in court. Adam doesn't remember what happened the night he was shot because he was so drunk. Witnesses in the bar say he was so drunk he could barely stand up. Adam is found not guilty in court, but he still has to prove his innocence to Michelle and some friends who no longer look at him the same way.
