Upon the opening weekend of Castle Arwick to the public, Emma Arwick faces three problems: a missing event security guard, a burglary attempt on her home, and a local sheriff not equipped to handle the magnitude of the investigation. When the case turns deadly, a cynical police detective brought in to lead the investigation forces Emma to decide which side of the law she stands on. As bodies pile up, Emma begins to question who or what is the real target. M.E. Berisford is a scientist, artist, and a writer of many books since the third grade. She enjoys writing stories that capture one's imagination and satisfies her sense of adventure. When she's not working, she enjoys life on the road or wandering into nature. She currently resides in Illinois with her laptop, her feisty creativity, and a paddle board.
