My story is of a young girl who loses both her birth and adoptive parents. Later, she is sent to live in an abusive home. As a result of her tragedies she develops a variety of mental health issues and makes self-destructive choices. Eventually she evolves into a 31 year old college graduate with a degree in Psychology. It's the kind of story one expects to be fiction, but it is her life. She now lives in Austin TX with her seven-year-old daughter. Looking at her you would not know her birth mother tried to kill herself 27 times while she was pregnant with Rayna and she was born blind and deaf and addicted to heroin.
