About

Unstressed is a chapbook of enticements. It invites you to move out of the "cradle cadence of wake and sleep" into the melodic and exotic. These 26 poems travel through the carnal into the contemplative without renouncing the ordinary. There are balls of light and bubbles of soap. Despair and hope. Forms and rhymes. Magic mushrooms and haunted bedrooms. This small book wants you to hear your own breath speaking the invitation "Tonight wear nothing but my words." I live and work in the Chicago area. My writing has appeared in McSweeney's Quarterly Concern, the Columbia Poetry Review, Monkey Bicycle, and other venues.I sometimes read at area events including Poetry & Absinthe at Exit and Chi Ka Go at Yoga Now.In addition to online chapbooks, I also create handmade art-books on quality paper and 8-page minibooks.
