Playing With Ghosts

I went out for a quick job tonight and made 3,800 yuan. I didn't take the change; I left it for my boss as travel money. I'm a night worker, though I occasionally work during the day too. My schedule is very flexible-it all depends on whether I'm strapped for cash. When money's tight, I go out and pull a job; when I'm flush, I just laze around and do nothing. Don't think I'm lazy-I'm actually very cautious. In my line of work, you can't get by without being careful. The slightest carelessness, and you'll end up on the government's payroll-apparently doing manual labor, with no privacy even in the shower stalls.
