Pick Me is a tender, poetic story about an orange who learns that waiting has a purpose. From its quiet fall to the ground to the moment it gives life to a new tree, the story captures the beauty of patience, transformation, and renewal.
Told through gentle rhymes and hand-drawn illustrations, Pick Me invites readers to see that even when life feels still or unseen, growth is quietly happening beneath the surface.
Written and illustrated by therapist and songwriter Cindy Beckstead, this story weaves emotional insight with simplicity - offering comfort to children and adults navigating change, self-worth, or loss. At its heart, Pick Me is a celebration of hope, reminding us that everything and everyone blooms in their own time.
