Yankee Donald came to town Riding his inheritance Wore his red tie past his crotch And called it utmost elegance.
Long ago, Mother Goose rhymes centered around real people and controversies such as the 1665 Great Plague of London, the murderous daughter of King Henry, and the well-known philanderer and coward, King George IV. But Mother Goose has been silent since the 1800s-until now.
In a modern homage to Mother Goose, Perversery Rhymes enshrines current American fakers, hoaxers, and shams such as Tough John Bolton, Moscow Mitch, Little Stephen Miller, and Cadet Bone Spurs while ensuring that they, too, will live on in infamy. Accompanied by original illustrations, this entertaining collection creatively retells the often jaw-dropping tale of the Trump Administration, its allies, and its enemies.
Perversery Rhymes is a Mother Goose inspired compilation of rhyming political satire verse and original illustrations that puts sanctimonious, hypocritical modern political figures in their place.
