The story of Pearl the Turtle began as Meri was on a road trip with her family. She was so overtaken with inspiration, she had to pull over to write it all down as it came to her. Pearl the Turtle is a whimsical, Christian-based story about a turtle named Pearl who had to learn the hard way the consequences of gossiping. It is geared toward children but delivers a message that would be beneficial to all ages.
