Scare of the Light 2: Russell Banks and the Ruler of the Locusts! is the second installment of the spiritual fantasy saga. It mixes reality with fantasy in seamless ways. Now as the Way world has changed once again, things appear to be normal, but something's not right!
Russell Banks is now sixteen and obsessed with the place he escaped to every night before. Currently, he and his friends' dreams are gone. His journey with friends Crystal, Peter, Liz, Vivian, and Brandon gets very complicated this time around. Without guidance from Emeral the Light, overseer of the Way world, their mission looks bleak. There's a whole crop of new enemies and old ones lurking around. There are some new faces with different issues than before, and some get a shot at redemption. Cutting, verbal abuse, diabetes, eating disorders, the overweight teen, post-divorce, prison time, forgiveness, bullying, and lack of self-love are some of the issues tackled in this novel with characters like Lycan, Crawl, Prasavanus, Priscilla, Maycon, Eroll, Amelia, and Wizell, some of which are waiting for their chance to steal control over the Way world. Who can Russell trust? All are there to help color this crazy fun adventure. This sequel will take you out of here and transport you to a place unlike anything you've seen before while leaving you wanting more!
