The book portrays a literal rugs-to-riches story of a young girl who went from being a child-slave, to a successful professional. Told from a first person viewpoint, it takes the reader on an emotinal and at times humourous journey, from the plains of rural Zimbabwe, to the built up cities of the United Kingdom.
