"The Field Trips series grows with six new titles for ages 4 to 9 (grades PreK to 3) and the school library market. "Out and About at the Science Center" is a good series example, giving novice field trip first-timers an idea of what to expect -- and how to appreciate -- on a class visit to a natural or physical science museum. From dinosaurs to sports, from computers to the wonders of the universe, science is everywhere and an understanding of the wonders of science begins at the science center. Conforms to social studies curriculum and contains full-color illustrations, activity, factoids, vocabulary enrichment, and index. Other "Out and About" titles include trips to the aquarium, planetarium, post office, supermarket, and veterinarian clinic."
