Our Savior's Identity

If you think that using the name of Jesus is some form of magic incantation,
to get what you desire to come about, you are clearly missing the mark.
The name of Jesus is not magic. Suppose you are a criminal and you want
to steal, kill, or destroy. Your use of "Jesus" to help you is not going to help
your cause. Your role and character would be clearly out of line. Jesus and
the Father would have no obligation to honor what you said.
Or, if you said a prayer: "Father, in the name of Jesus, keep me from being
arrested and being sent to prison for this criminal act."
Do you really think that would help you, or that Jesus or Father is obligated
to do so? I think not.
If you have never spent a minute learning the kind of authority that can be
acquired, nor the power of prayer, nor the responsibility of a pupil of Jesus
to understand his ways, do you really think Almighty will respond favorably
to you for what you pray?
If you want to do what Jesus did, you will have to follow the path that puts
you in the role or position, character, authority, and appellation of Jesus'
identity, to act like him.
If you really want to do that, this is a first step -- learn his identity!
