Only in Texas: A Chicks Travel Adventure is the first novel published by author Ms. Jamie Kristen. It is a dark comedy of errors-with romantic elements-that follows the hijinx of a motley group of women who find themselves caught up in a string of felonies, while overcoming insurmountable odds, as only Texas women can do.In its early stages, this novel began as an homage to the wonderful ladies Jamie met while living in the DFW Metroplex. This fiercely loyal and side-splittingly funny gaggle of women go by many names. They have been called the "Not-So-Serious Bad Ass Moms", "Sassy, Classy & a Little Bad Assy Ladies", and other names we won't mention here. The book's characters-while purely fictional-may be sprinkled (or soaked) with the DFW BAMs.At the beginning of the book, we see our leading ladies attending their friend's outdoor wedding on a sultry summer day in Texas. By the end of chapter one, there is a plot twist which opens up a whole can of literary worms for readers to enjoy. The story follows these zany gals on a trip to Caddo Lake, an area of East Texas that is drenched in folklore, mystery and creatures galore.
