Based upon true family stories and letters, One Tragic June describes the intense love story and fate of a Plain religion country woman, June, and a man not of her faith - Peter, who entered the army in World War II. Their different backgrounds, upbringings, and philosophies made their romance improbable and unacceptable in the Plain religion, yet they shared a common desire to carve their own destinies versus those prescribed by their families and communities. Due to their unique bond and events, their families were forced to redefine their own lives, which resulted in a lasting friendship. The echoes of June and Peter's silent footsteps resonate for generations.
