Aria's life has never been without challenges; falling in love with a magnificently rugged and enchanting fantasy Highlander didn't make things easier for her or the man who truly cares for her. Trapped in a bitter marriage during a political and military upheaval creates the perfect turbulent conditions necessary for reality to conquer her illusions through the intimacy of an unlikely lover.
The 18th Century was a difficult and trying time for the Scottish people. Aria Campbell was born into a world of violence and class separation. Her pseudo-adoption made her less privileged in the society she lived in, which led to an emotionally and physically abusive arranged marriage. Her only savior came in the form of a dream lover, a fantasy man who knew her better than anyone. Craig Allan Mackenzie's touch was all she needed to find the courage to survive. She found his touch often and on demand. Of Kilted Pleasure delivers both sensually and intellectually.
The death of Aria's husband creates even more turbulence through innuendo, a coverup, and intrigue as to what actually happened to the man. Who was truly responsible, and what would be the result of finding his body? Set in a time period wrought with political and religious differences among the Scots and other Britains, Of Kilted Pleasure promises to both entertain and enlighten the reader as the book is both a romantic novel as well as a historical one. Aria's ultimate struggle is not within her reality but in her inability to face it without having to relive her past and confront the problems of dealing with time and desperate separation between herself and the man who loved her enough to kill for her.
