It took a while, but what I saw was just amazing! This bug crawled up maybe a few inches out of the water and just sat there for a while. Then the outside of the bug started to split open. To my amazement, a pair of wings popped out followed by a long skinny body. What I was watching was the birth of a dragonfly.
