Jennifer Marguerite was a "rock star" teacher, a devoted mother, and a "strong woman" raised by strong women. Then, the world she knew came crashing down. Noncompliant is a memoir about the "concentric patterns" of life and the patterns we must break to survive. Chronicling a three-year descent from professional fulfillment to a total mental break, Jennifer explores the "strange truth" of mental illness and the spiritual rebirth required to find the surface again. With a voice that is both sarcastic and deeply empathetic, Marguerite speaks for the "Kindreds" those struggling under the "crushing weight" of a world that tells them to "take care of yourself" but offers no hand to hold. If you've ever felt like a "helpless pawn in a much bigger game," it's time to become Noncompliant.
