Niglíču was there. She saw it all. And survived it. Traumatized. It was called the incident that ended the Indian wars in the United States. Wounded Knee. December 29, 1890. But the story does not end with the devastation because two men couldn't bear to see a young girl torn by it. Two old men. A warrior grandfather and a Jesuit priest. Two old men who couldn't be more different. Two old men Niglíču loved. This is their story. A story of hope and reconciliation. A story of the power of a young girl's love.
