Vacation Bible School is one of the biggest events children's pastors and leaders hold every year. Between crafts, games, decorations, snacks, volunteers, registrations, and more, it can feel overwhelming.
Next Level VBS is an easy-to-use system to take your VBS to the next level, not just discipling the kids you have, but attracting and keeping new kids in your area. It covers the whole process from start to finish. Whether you're just starting out or have led VBS for years, this book can help.
This isn't theory. These are the tools veteran children's pastor David Reneau developed and used across nearly two decades in kids' ministry. He gives you his calendar, his budget, and the conversations you need to have in the months leading up to VBS.
Inside you'll find:
• His proven planning calendar that starts in September, not April
• How to build a lead team and recruit volunteers who come back next year
• How to run registration and check-in that won't have everyone quitting on Day 2
• How to decorate without breaking your budget
• A word-for-word Gospel presentation, with props, that he and other ministry leaders have used for years
• Two full chapters on follow-up, so you know exactly what to say and how to say it to get your guests back on Sunday
• What he learned from switching curriculums, with honest comparisons of Group, Amazing Life, MEGA Sports Camp, and Lifeway
No matter how many VBSs you've run, this is the book David wishes he'd had at his first children's ministry job. He had 10 weeks to prepare, a wedding on the way, a hundred kids coming, and no idea what he was doing.
Every purchase also includes the templates, forms, and worksheets he used, ready for you to tailor to your ministry, all for free.
