After losing her husband, Ruth didn't know what the future had in store. But God showed her he still had a great plan for the years ahead. In this book, Ruth retells the remarkable journey God led her on, from being a retired primary school teacher in London to ten years of serving God in the foothills of Mount Kenya. Along the way, she learnt so much about the world and herself, but most of all about the unstoppable faithfulness of God to his promises in extraordinary ways. Ruth spent a decade lovingly working with many children in children's homes, helping them through to their early years of adulthood. She sought to ensure they had the education, skills and faith in God that the rest of their lives would require.
But it wasn't just others who were blessed. Ruth tells how the whole experience radically deepened her confidence in the Lord, even in the most difficult of circumstances. "This book highlights the endless possibilities of a life offered to God whatever your age. Ruth's daily trust in the providence, provision and protection of the Almighty God will inspire, encourage and challenge you. Christian biographies are essential reading for every believer, and this one of the best and a must read." Lindsay Benn
