It's not the hot or cold that Jesus speaks against. It's the lukewarm church.
Everybody who has ever read Revelation can't forget it: the church in Laodicea, neither hot nor cold, the church that made Jesus want to throw up. It's an unforgettable line tucked into the middle of the strangest verse in the Bible: Jesus can't stand the taste of lukewarminess.
What does it mean to live a lukewarm Christian life? Greg Holder from The Voice Bible and creator of the Advent Conspiracy, points us to the way out of a lukewarm faith, helping us see how our little decisions, our everyday habits, and our most basic relationships have incredible potential for world-changing, redemptive impact.
Greg Holder offers us a fresh vision for Christian compassion and hospitality-how the real call is to soothe the hurting people around us, shock them out of their spiritual apathy, and draw them into the enticing and satisfying life of God in Christ. Read this fast-paced, missional book and you'll find yourself excited to follow Jesus into the arena and fight the good fight of faith.
