For years, I was drowning in 7-day workweeks. Obsessive bank balance checking. Constant financial fear. I called myself a Christian, but money was my real god.
Then my future wife issued an ultimatum: "Tithing isn't negotiable for me."
Give away 10% when I was barely surviving? It seemed insane.
But I was desperate enough to try.
Fifteen years later, that decision changed everything-not because God made me rich, but because He set me free from the anxiety and slavery money had created in my life.
MY MONEY OR HIS is a 21-session Bible study that traces what Scripture actually says about money, tithing, and generosity from Genesis to Revelation. You'll discover:
• Why Cain and Abel's story reveals the difference between giving God your first vs. your leftovers • What the Passover teaches about the true cost of redemption-and what it means for your wallet • Why Malachi is the only place God says "Test me"-and what happens when you do • What Jesus really meant by "Where your treasure is, there your heart will be." • How the early church handled money-and why there were "no needy persons among them."
This isn't prosperity gospel. This is biblical stewardship. This isn't about getting rich. This is about getting free.
If you're tired of being controlled by money, if financial anxiety keeps you awake at night, if you wonder whether God's promises actually work-this study will challenge everything you thought you knew.
The question isn't whether you can afford to tithe.
