MY FRIEND POOL was written for children who
experience sensory sensitivity in what many of us
think of as common, everyday tasks or activities. The
storyline was composed to help sensory sensitive
children understand that it is not only normal to feel
such things, but that they are not alone. Additionally,
this based-on-real-life narrative illustrates that they
may even be able to find enjoyment in some of those
simple pleasures of childhood…. like swimming in
a pool with friends…that to them may feel not so
simple and not so enjoyable.
