How do you interact with your family while believing they're headed for eternal hellfire? "My Dawah Letter to Kuffar Kin" confronts the most painful question every serious Muslim revert faces.
After three years of bureaucratic separation from his niqabi wife, Gregory Heary prepared for her arrival in America by doing something most reverts avoid: he told his non-Muslim family the complete, uncompromising truth about Islamic requirements for their future interactions. No physical contact between unrelated men and women. No viewing his wife's body or face. No alcohol in their presence. No music or television during visits. No participation in Christmas, Santa Claus, or other unislamic celebrations. And most importantly: an urgent invitation to accept Islam before death makes repentance impossible. What began as a simple announcement card turned into a comprehensive religious epistle distributed to family members, Muslim friends, former coworkers, and his wife's relatives across three continents. This letter doesn't promise easy answers or comfortable compromises-it promises the truth about what authentic Islamic practice costs in the modern world, and why that cost is worth paying.
The author systematically dismantles the comfortable compromises that allow Muslims to maintain family peace while abandoning Islamic principles. He doesn't just explain Islamic rules-he reveals why sincere faith inevitably creates family conflict in secular America, and why that conflict is necessary. For anyone navigating the painful intersection of religious conviction and family loyalty, this letter provides a roadmap. For anyone exhausted by books teaching you can have authentic Islam and complete harmony with non-Muslim family simultaneously, this letter offers the truth: you can't, and pretending otherwise endangers both your faith and your family's eternal destiny.
If you're tired of books that promise easy solutions to the tension between Islamic conviction and family loyalty, this letter tells the hard truth with gentleness. "My Dawah Letter to Kuffar Kin" is a manual for every Muslim who ever worried before they faced family conflict over Islamic practice. Unlock the courage to practice uncompromising Islam in a compromising world.
