About

Lucy's mum, Sharon, is so out-of-date she's practically mouldy. She treats Lucy like a child, has had a complete sense of humour by-pass, and is living in the Stone Age - when all skirts were below the knee, kids went to bed at sunset, and no-one even kissed until they were married!

Lucy can't believe her mum was EVER a teenager . . . until the morning Sharon wakes up with no memory of the last thirty years. As far as 'Shazza' is concerned, she's travelled in time from the 1980s - and like Lucy, is twelve years old! Katie Dale dreamed of growing up to become a farmer's wife, but instead became a writer and an actress. Inspired by her mother, Elizabeth Dale, who is also a children's author, Katie's first poem The Fate of the School Hamster was published when she was just eight years old! Having travelled the world, won writing competitions and acted both on stage and screen, Katie went on to publish both YA books and young readers. Mumnesia is her first novel for Macmillan Children's Books.
