About
When washed-up novelist and community college professor Xavier Si disappears, John Groff meets an underground revolutionary movement set to destroy the dam above Mothwick. The leader of the revolutionary group, the enigmatic Mr. Gold, seems to have witnessed the construction of the dam and the European colonization of North America. Meanwhile, sometimes-student Kimberly Kahn, the daughter of the town's climatologist, struggles to find meaning in a world ravaged by war and environmental degradation. When Kimberly's father, Alan, begins working for Mr. Gold, the job seems a little too good to be true.
