Missy Herrington

Missy Herrington is the debut novel of J. Laux Perren-a young French immigrant to the United States. Young Dowager Baroness Herrington, born Melissa Jane Annabelle 'Missy' Adamson, convinced her mentor and benefactor Lord Beverley, to sponsor her journey to the United States of America. Her travels take her across the country on the transcontinental railroad to San Francisco and down the Mississippi River to New Orleans for the winter of 1875. With Jack Omohundro, Missy tours the natural wonders of the newly created Yellowstone National Park-the first in the nation.
