One frozen pipe. One apartment. Two captains who were supposed to hate each other for the rest of the season.
Nova Reyes does not do small talk, does not do roommates, and does not do feelings. Bellamy Cho does all three in four languages.
For three weeks in January they share a hallway, a thermostat, and seven games between them-including one against each other.
The household rules come first. Groceries. Bathrooms. Whose turn to shovel. Then the real rules, the ones neither of them says out loud: don't lose in front of each other. Don't win in front of each other. Don't make it a thing.
Nova wins their game, 4–3, and cries in the parking garage anyway. Bellamy finds her.
January ends. The apartment gets reassigned. Nobody moves out easily.
A forced-proximity slow-burn college hockey romance about a very cold city, a very small hallway, and the two most stubborn people in it.
