Juno learns she's destined to become the 538th Keeper of the Archive, responsible for maintaining the balance between remembered and forgotten narratives to prevent "reality fracture." After consulting with fellow researcher Malcolm Chen, Juno spends a year in this role before uncovering the truth: the Archive's original purpose wasn't to erase memories but to preserve them from a shadowy entity known as The Watcher, who feeds on forgotten stories.
