About
Humanity is wild and complex. In this immersive poetic and philosophical journey, the author juxtaposes his beautiful and grim lived experiences growing up in Baltimore.
Discover the profound spiritual journey of one man as he climbs toward the person he was meant to be. Stylized in poetic brilliance, author Steven Bennett (or Maxx), describes himself as a Black man raised in the shadows of Baltimore's urban landscape amidst the echoes of resilience and struggle. Through those trials, his voice breaks through in a dichotomy of grim beauty-the very same that characterizes the city that raised him.
In his debut narrative Maxxmatics, Vol. 1 I Am The Universe, Steven intertwines poetry, motivational quotes, and philosophical questions he's raised to himself from a vibrant tapestry of real-life experiences.
Readers should brace themselves as they navigate with Steven through the depths of his soul and the vast expanse of the universe, all circling back to the raw authenticity of Baltimore's streets.
This book is intended for readers aged 16 to 65, primarily focusing on adults aged 25-50. It resonates with individuals on a journey of self-discovery, mindfulness, and personal transformation, appealing to spiritual seekers, poetry enthusiasts, and those exploring their connection to the universe.
The reflective moments in Maxxmatics, Vol. 1 may prove especially useful for community builders, educators, and leaders seeking inspirational material-as well as lifelong learners drawn to books with themes of universal energy, cosmic connection, and holistic well-being.
