About
Marriage: The Rules of The Game
This book is not overly religious but I emphatically believe that God is the "Marriage Maker", and just like a systems designer would do, He has created a manual of operation. The Bible is full of practical helps right there for the taking.
Again it was a thrilling challenge for me to write another book that speaks plainly to the married, and those looking to get married. A second challenge in writing this book, as in the previous book, Marriage: The Corridors, Castles, and Conflicts, we share meaningful real-life examples that will help others avoid stumbling blindly into marital ditches. I am careful when personal stories are shared. Names have been changed and situations altered to protect identities.
I have spent over 30 years in marriage counseling. My thirst in all those years has been to research and develop tools and materials that will help marriages work better. We've always used opportunities to share a practical biblical message, by creating marriage videos, booklets, workshop materials, and sharing in marriage seminars around the country. One message rings throughout our presentations: there are spiritual factors called principles that effect what we do and how we do it. So this second book joins with our many other presentations in striving to wrap theological principles around real-life illustrations.
