The storm rages, the waves roll, and the small boat is tossed around. The people aboard are hanging on, looking for a way through, then they see a light--a light that can guide them to shore if they follow it.
I have known these storms that toss my heart, mind, and soul about. I have also known the desperation of hanging on, of looking for a way through, of wondering if I will make it. And I wonder if just maybe that you, too, have felt the surges beneath your feet that set you to a-wobbling. Just like the sailors found the light of the lighthouse, giving them hope and guiding them through the storm, so we, too, have a lighthouse.
Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. He is our lighthouse.
God's words, His truth, became the greater truth to the narratives I was playing and replaying. His truths changed me, guided me, and led me through the storm.
He is faithful, and I know that His words can do the same for you as you choose to lean into Him, learning more of Him, and most of all, staying with Him when it is the hardest to do so.
This book offers a verse for each day, a daily nugget of truth to anchor your heart when it flounders in the storm and to tether you to the One who loves you so very much.
When we stay with the Way, we find our way.
