Jack Kendall began emulating Michael Douglas for the reason most boys do things-to impress a girl. He could learn how to flirt, how to style his hair, how to develop a swagger, and even how to kiss. Choosing Michael Douglas as his role model played an even more pivotal role in Jack's professional life, providing the perfect image of success. However, there is a danger that comes with the perfect emulation: sometimes you can get so good at it, you lose yourself in the process.

Manifesting the Movie Star uses four decades worth of Douglas' characters to tell the story of Jack Kendall, a guy with a unique outlook on life, borrowed from the many personas of the man he idolized most.
