What is a machine? Kids might picture a big, complicated metal machine. But, as they learn alongside a cute blue monster named Mo, some machines are simple! Simple machines, including levers and pulleys, are highlighted in the colorful pages of this volume as readers plan, design, and build a clubhouse with Mo and friends. Illustrations of the process help readers understand simple machines and their uses, as well as other science concepts. Questions throughout the text keep readers engaged with what they are reading.
