The next day, when we woke up, everything returned to normal-and I hate this normal.
In Ana Benchea's debut romance novel, Loving You: The Journal of a Married Woman, she follows the story of Eve, a woman unraveling within her troubled marriage as she sets out to remember who she is. Hidden beneath the mattress lies a leather journal no one knows exists, where she details the events of her self-discovery journey, giving the reader a first-hand look into Eve's mind. But no matter what, her husband, Tudor, can never know this journal exists. What would he do if he knew he had an unhappy wife? Or learned that his jealousy terrified her? Her heart races at the idea that he would ever see that she has thought about leaving him. So, afraid of the consequences, she continues to keep her journal-and her mid-life crisis-a secret.
For now, she and Tudor continue their daily routine: Tudor goes to work while she stays home, raising their daughter. Just when she's convinced herself that this is all there is to life and marriage, her first love randomly shows up in her life again. He confesses he's finally ready to be with her, but there's a catch-she would have to be honest with Tudor, and above all, herself. Should she do it?
This book will challenge your thoughts on what it means to stay committed to yourself, while spotlighting the importance of:
• Boundaries with the people you love
• Facing the uncomfortable and the new
• Honesty with others, even when the truth is messy
• Finding your voice, especially when others take it away
• Working for the life you know you want and not settling
The question becomes, will you root for Eve to stay or leave? From the outside, she has the perfect life. There's Tudor, a dominant but loving husband, Violet, their girl, and the local gym that she owns with her husband. So, why isn't she happy? What should she do? Find out everything in Loving You: The Journal of a Married Woman.
