A thoughtful work of religious nonfiction for readers seeking faith, spiritual formation, interfaith understanding, and a deeper way to live.
Living the Pulse is Volume II of The Covenant Pulse Series, a spiritual and theological guide that invites readers to move beyond religious caricature, surface-level belief, and abstract comparison into a more faithful rhythm of listening, learning, and living.
In a world filled with noise, division, skepticism, and misunderstanding, this book asks a simple but powerful question:
What would change if we learned to listen before we judged?
Through seven windows of faith - Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, and the Latter-day Saint Restoration - author Cooper Neitzel invites readers into a serious yet accessible journey through world religions, comparative religion, covenant theology, scripture, prayer, and lived spiritual practice.
The goal is not to claim that all religions are the same. Instead, Living the Pulse honors both resonance and distinction, helping readers recognize shared spiritual longings while respecting the real doctrinal, historical, and spiritual differences that make each faith tradition distinct.
At the heart of the book is the PRAYER Sequence:
Purpose • Resolve • Alignment • Yield • Embody • Reflection
This practical spiritual formation model helps readers consider how faith becomes more than an idea. It becomes a way of seeing, choosing, surrendering, practicing, repairing, enduring, and beginning again.
Written from a Latter-day Saint Restoration perspective, Living the Pulse offers a clear covenantal witness while approaching other traditions with reverence, care, and intellectual honesty. It is a book for readers who want conviction without contempt, interfaith dialogue without compromise, and spiritual depth without hostility.
This volume is especially written for four spiritual seasons:
The Seeker - for those searching for meaning, sacred purpose, spiritual growth, or a first spark of faith.
The Sinner - for those longing for repentance, repair, mercy, forgiveness, and return.
The Saint - for those seeking endurance, discipleship, sacred stamina, and faithful living over the long journey.
The Skeptic - for those asking hard questions about belief, truth, religion, doubt, and examined conviction.
More than a study of religion, Living the Pulse is a call to personal transformation. It invites readers to move from observation to formation, from curiosity to understanding, from comparison to reverence, and from belief to embodied practice.
For readers interested in spiritual formation, interfaith dialogue, comparative religion, world religions, Latter-day Saint discipleship, Christian living, scripture study, religious education, faith and doubt, covenant theology, prayer, personal growth, and practical spirituality, this book offers a timely and deeply reflective path forward.
