About

"Living Ubuntu!" is all about the ancient African philosophy that states that "a
person is a person because of other people" or "Umntu Ngumntu Ngabanya
Abantu". It means we are all connected and we all need each other to prosper. It
tells the story of how Ubuntu is spreading around the world to transform young
peoples' lives, giving them new hope and new purpose.
We see how Ubuntu has inspired great leaders like Archbishop Desmond Tutu,
Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King and the Dalai Lama and how it has now
been adopted by the likes of the G20 and the European Union as a guiding
principle for this new generation.
We enter the world of Ubuntu's Global Academies and Ubuntu Round Tables
and discover a new philosophy of living, born in Africa and now embraced by a
new generation all over the world. In this age of anxiety we need Ubuntu's healing
power more than ever. The old African proverb reminds us "Isandla asikwazi
ukuzigeza" which translates as "a hand can't wash itself". That's certainly true – just
try it. That is the essence of Ubuntu. Join us as we set out to build new enriched
and purposeful lives together.
