This Level 2 guided reader teaches how to interpret and create line graphs. Students will develop word recognition and reading skills while learning about creating scales, plotting data points, and using line plots to represent a data set.|Index|Glossary of key words|Table of contents|Author/Illustrator biography|Each photo-illustrated book in the Let's Make Graphs series introduces new readers to a type of graph or graphing concept. Content focuses on explaining graphing concepts and encouraging readers to interpret graphs and create graphs of their own. The series is correlated to Common Core math curriculum for grades K-2, and to other national and state math standards. Simple text and fun and relevant examples engage readers in learning key graphing concepts, including reading graphs, using graphs to represent and analyze data, and making graphs. Five books in the series each introduce a single type of graph and offer examples, as well as an activity that invites readers to practice gathering and graphing data. The sixth book focuses on using graphs as tools for readers to solve story problems.
