In a land ruled by the vicious Empire of fire there exists only one rule, survive. House Bausk and House Carpestian have entered into civil strife without the Emperor's permission; there will be consequences. Yet, fate can turn those intended consequences upside down when liberty is suppressed and an Empire built on slavery. A man all thought dead returns and with him liberty will be avenged.
