Laugh Hard Chucky is a light-hearted, hand-illustrated picture storybook about positivity, compromise, and resilience, exploring motherhood and healthy parenting through the kind, relatable (and oftentimes giggle-inducing) relationship between a mum and son. Featuring expressive watercolour illustration by award-winning artist Emma Stuart and warm storytelling by Australian author Andrew Kelly. The second title in this independently published series supports emotional resilience and modelling positive behaviour, showing how family encouragement helps children navigate embarrassment, pain, guilt, and other scenarios. Celebrating mother and son connection, emotional literacy and healthy relationships, it invites young readers into a story where laughter can be a tool for healthy emotional development.
Chucky is a great little kid with great big feelings. He is full-bore adventurous and finds joy in the most unlikely places. He also discovers that life doesn't always go to plan. Lucky for Chucky, he is arming himself with strategies to help cope with some of life's setbacks. With Mum's help, Chucky learns that in some situations, laughter really is the best medicine.
