Set against the stark beauty of the Colorado desert, Las Animas High follows Danica Drake, a teenager whose life is shattered when she and her best friends witness a deadly hijacking tied to a powerful oil corporation.
What begins as a violent crime soon reveals something far older and far more dangerous.
As strange sightings and buried secrets begin to surface around their small town, Danica discovers that Las Animas sits on the fault line between worlds. Dragons stir beneath the desert, giants walk forgotten paths, and ancient forces rooted in Indigenous myth are waking again. The corporation behind the hijacking may be searching for more than oil. Caught in a hidden war older than history itself, Danica and her friends must decide who to trust before their town, and everyone in it, becomes collateral damage.
Blending supernatural suspense, Indigenous mythology, and corporate intrigue, Las Animas High is a high-stakes coming-of-age story perfect for fans of Percy Jackson, Stranger Things, and the mysteries of Skinwalker Ranch.
