Hawaii, a melting pot of cultures and traditions, is home to a small, but significant Jewish community with a wide range of secular to Orthodox affiliations and beliefs. Its geographical setting and Polynesian/ Western cultural influences have shaped the burial practices of all ethnicities. This book explores the locations of Jewish burial sites and burial activities associated with pre and post death Judaic practices in order to provide options and guidance to those who are deciding on appropriate final rites for the deceased's Jewish families and friends.
